Main
Responsibilities:
- Initiate planning for longer-term GBV
prevention and response activities, including referral pathway and
standard operating procedures.
- Maintain, monitor and measure GBV project
implementation and contribute to effective information management on GBV
survivors.
- Closely work with the religious leader and
ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international
standards in GBV prevention and response.
- Participate in the design of project
activities, monitoring systems and capacity building activities for
partners, community member and children.
- Assist GBV team in the development and
testing of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials on GBV and
violence prevention for the camp communities.
- Oversee awareness raising activities and
support the development of messaging.
- Develop and maintain effective working
relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies,
community leaders, CBO and local NGOs and service providers.
Required skills and
Qualifications
·
University
Degree in gender Studies, psychology, sociology, Social work or any other
related field.
·
Master’s degree would be an added advantage
·
Diploma
holders in social sciences with strong GBV experience will also be considered.
·
Fluency in
English, and Kiswahili including writing clear and concise reports.
·
Minimum
2-4 years’ experience in related field. NGO experience is a plus.
·
Excellent
computer skills (Excel, word, power point and outlook)
·
Able to
lead, train, supervise, facilitate, and motivate GBV Community Workers in their
respective tasks in a professional, respectful and supportive manner.
·
Able to
work as part of a team.
·
Willing to
work in a hardship area.
·
Clear
understanding of gender, abuse of power, and issues surrounding violence
against women.
·
Able to
maintain confidentiality, medical ethics, and respect for clients at all times.
