Job Overview: We
are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Clinical Services to
lead our clinical team and oversee the delivery of exceptional healthcare
services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and
possess a deep understanding of clinical operations. The Director of Clinical
Services will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient
care, implementing effective clinical programs, and driving continuous
improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide
visionary leadership to the clinical team, fostering a culture of
excellence and collaboration.
- Develop
and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals related to
clinical services.
- Collaborate
with senior management to align clinical services with overall business
objectives.
- Oversee
the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and
services.
- Ensure
adherence to evidence-based practices and industry standards.
- Monitor
and analyze clinical outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.
- Recruit,
train, and lead a high-performing clinical team.
- Foster
professional development and growth opportunities for clinical staff.
- Conduct
performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop
and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards
of care.
- Ensure
compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and accreditation
requirements.
- Lead
efforts to address and resolve any compliance issues.
- Build
effective relationships with internal departments and external
stakeholders.
- Collaborate
with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to enhance
patient care.
- Communicate
effectively with the executive team and provide regular updates on
clinical operations.
- Develop
and manage the clinical services budget, ensuring efficient resource
allocation.
- Identify
cost-saving opportunities without compromising patient care quality.
- Identify
opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in clinical
operations.
- Lead
initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of
clinical services.
- Demonstrated
experience in project work planning, reporting, monitoring, and
evaluation
- Provide
technical expertise in the development and implementation of the programs
for PASADA to the health facilities to ensure delivery of quality
clinical services;
- Act
as a key contributor to the organization’s Continuous Quality Improvement
initiatives to implement strategic changes to improve service delivery
within the program at different health facilities;
- Lead
the development of training and capacity building plans for PASADA
technical staff through training needs analysis to identify the gaps and
liaise with the Human Resource department to ensure all staff have the
right skills to perform their roles;
- Coordinate
the collection and analysis of data for planning and performance
measurement of comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment and other
related conditions;
- Extrapolate
data for monitoring and quality assurance purposes through regular
collection and analysis to ensure accuracy of data for decision making
purposes;
- Advise
program officers on appropriate support to provide to health facilities
for comprehensive HIV care for patients to ensure the wellbeing of the
patients;
- Integrate
evidenced based techniques and strategies into preceptorship activities
to enhance quality of clinical services provided and adoption of best
practices by PASADA;
- Coordinate
with other team members for timely submission of all required reports to
provide information on how the department and its staff operate in line
with set plans;
- Participate
in select national HIV care and treatment initiatives through different
workshops and fora to ensure that national guidelines are implemented
within the programs run by PASADA for quality and maximum impact to the
recipients
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor
degree in Medicine, healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
Master degree is added advantage
- Five
years or more of demonstrated experience working in HIV/AIDS prevention,
care, or treatment programs; four of those years shall be experience in
the provision of coordinating, and managing training related to HIV/AIDS.

Comprehensive knowledge and
experience concerning HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs.
- Proven
experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong
understanding of clinical operations, quality improvement, and compliance.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated
ability to coordinate, lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Strategic
thinker with a track record of implementing successful clinical programs.
- Knowledge
of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best
practices.
- Thorough
understanding of relevant Government of Tanzania policies and regulations,
how government operates, and a keen understanding of local development
activities.
- Demonstrated
experience in project work planning, reporting, monitoring, and
evaluation.
- Fluency
in Swahili and English.
