Reports to: Director of Clinical Services

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Senior Medical Officer will play a crucial role in providing leadership, expertise, and clinical oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. This individual will be responsible for managing medical staff, implementing clinical protocols, and contributing to the overall improvement of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to medical staff, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, quality patient care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Oversee and actively participate in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of care provided.
• Recruit, train, and supervise medical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance staff development.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
• Participate in peer review processes and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and administrators, to optimize patient outcomes and enhance interdisciplinary communication.
• Develop and conduct educational programs for medical staff, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
• Stay abreast of the latest medical advancements and ensure the integration of best practices into clinical operations.
• Actively participate in emergency response and crisis management, providing medical expertise and leadership as required.

Required skills and Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in the relevant specialty.
• Proven experience as a Senior Medical Officer or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, word, power point and outlook)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current licensure to practice medicine.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
